Ironmaking MES System Goes Live: Group’s First Independently Developed MES Deployed, Driving Breakthroughs in Smart Manufacturing Talent and Digital Capabilities

2026-04-15

On April 15, the Ironmaking Manufacturing Execution System (Ironmaking MES), jointly and independently developed by Huaxi’s Equipment Department, Digital Intelligence Connectivity Department, and the Yingkou Equipment Office, was successfully launched for trial operation at the Huaxi Base of the Jingye Group. This milestone marks the rollout of the Group’s first fully self-developed MES, propelling ironmaking operations at the Huaxi Base into a new era of digital, intelligent, and refined management. It represents a landmark step forward toward upgrading intelligent manufacturing and securing independent control over core technologies across the Group’s steel segment.

Tailored to the full-process manufacturing realities of ironmaking at the Huaxi Base, the Ironmaking MES covers core modules including raw materials, sintering, blast furnaces, lime and slag, calibration and laboratory inspection, and production scheduling. By integrating the entire workflow spanning data collection, on-site operations, report generation, process monitoring, and business collaboration, the system eliminates traditional pain points associated with manual recordkeeping, paper-based workflows, data silos, and lagging responses. It enables visibility, data traceability, control, and efficient coordination across the entire production process, substantially reducing repetitive frontline labor while maximizing production control precision and operational efficiency.

As the Group’s first MES independently developed, implemented, and launched entirely in-house, the project eliminated reliance on external vendors and significantly cut procurement and implementation costs to drive genuine cost-efficiency. Key internal technical and business personnel spearheaded every phase of the project, from requirements design and coding to interface integration, UAT testing, deployment, and training. This hands-on end-to-end experience has forged a highly skilled, tech-savvy, and execution-oriented intelligent manufacturing team, building a robust talent pool and establishing a replicable, standardized practice model for the Group’s future digital projects.

Moving forward, the system will run on a dual-track basis to ensure a smooth transition, gradually replacing manual ledgers and shifting production management from an “experience-driven” model to a deeply “data-driven” approach. The project team will continue optimizing system functionality, deepening data applications, and responding rapidly to operational needs. By continuously improving system stability and user experience, the team aims to constantly empower production and reduce costs while improving efficiency through proprietary digital technology, providing stronger support for the Group’s smart factory development, high-quality growth, and core competitiveness.
